A Body of Fossils Codex Journal and Wood Pulp Paper handcrafted by Calle Soledad Presa
From the Lateral Erosion :: Water Holds Memories ::: Collection
This Codex Journal is made with wood pulp paper and washi paper as the cover, two textures for drawing and ink. The cover paper with fragments of watercolor is an igniting representation of watercolors, and emotions of water. What memories does water hold? And how many colors are there in these memories? The heat of the sun with geometric shapes, morphing and shifting with every glance.
Fossils uncovered to fulfill an embodiment of abstraction, sensations and space. With deep bright yellow colored pages as the interior, this container is meant to explore embodiment after a moment of disruptions, disembodiment, and the coming back together of the body. Codex Journal meant for the artists, body worker, creator, scientist, or anyone wanting a new creative tool to explore sensations, sense of self, or everyday thoughts.
